Ballston Target has become a frequent target of shoplifters
Thieves have been increasingly targeting the Ballston area Target store, making it a frequent destination for police dispatches lately. Arlington crime reports for July so far contain some 20 theft offenses for the 700 block of N. Glebe Road, where the store is located. The police department identifies crimes by block number and generally does not identify which specific businesses were the victim of crimes.

The Rockville City Police Department has announced a gun buyback event for Saturday, August 17, at RedGate Park (14500 Avery Road). The vote to revise Policy 8130 has yet to happen, but one group called FairFacts Matters is prepared to sue. The group has set up an online fundraiser to mount a legal challenge. QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, MD - An Anne Arundel County man is facing multiple felony charges after a non-contact shooting on the bridge. Maryland Transportation Authority Police say on June 8, around 11:45 p.m., the driver of a black Jeep fired multiple shots toward a silver Mitsubishi while driving recklessly across the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Police say the driver then exited the Jeep and pointed a gun at the driver of the Mitsubishi.
