Fall reservations for WA ferry routes open Tuesday
SEATTLE - Vehicle reservations for the Washington State Ferries (WSF) fall 2024 schedule opens on Tuesday, a way for travelers to save a spot on several routes. Fall reservations officially open at 10 a.m. on July 23. They can be made for the Port Townsend/Coupeville and Anacortes/San Juan Islands ferry routes running between September 22 to December 28.

Tacoma woman sentenced to 82 years for deadly arson spree and murder
TACOMA, Wash. — A woman responsible for a deadly arson spree around Tacoma in late 2021 and early 2022 was sentenced Tuesday morning to about 82 years in prison. Earlier this month, a jury found Sarah Ramey, 45, guilty of murder, 13 counts of arson, two counts of attempted arson, burglary, identity theft and motor vehicle theft. In total, Ramey faced 27 counts.

Woman shot after 'verbal disturbance' inside Auburn apartment
AUBURN, Wash. — A 39-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after being shot following a fight inside an Auburn apartment early Tuesday morning. According to Auburn police, the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. at 31817 120th Avenue SE. Patrol officers arrived and shortly after received a call from a nearby hospital reporting there was a woman there with a gunshot wound, police said.
