Longtime Lions Club members, assisted by some Natrona County High School football players, started work Monday on installing two new bridges set to revamp the trail.
Local Pharmacist Faces Allegations Of Illegally Selling Fish Medication
The Wyoming Board of Pharmacy is accusing a former pharmacist in Casper of illegally selling prescription fish medication. Daniel Kraft's license to distribute prescription drugs expired June 30, 2021. On August 4, 2021 the Board issued an order strictly prohibiting Kraft from "...renewing, reinstating, or obtaining any license from the Wyoming Board of Pharmacy for at least 10 years..."

CASPER, Wyo. — “Turkey Vultures: Friend or Foe” is July’s Werner Wildlife Series topic on Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m. Guest presenter Joanne Theobald will share her vast collection of photographs and videos and provide information about turkey vulture traits, habits and folklore, according to Dalene Hodnett, director of museums.
Cheyenne woman faces felony charge for smuggling drugs into jail
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On July 13 at about 7:29 p.m., Cheyenne police arrested a woman at a local retail store on Central Avenue. The woman, identified as Krystal Nichole Ebell, 33, faces charges including theft, interference with a peace officer and drug possession. Ebell also faces a felony charge for smuggling a controlled substance into the jail, according to police booking sheets.
Wyoming man sentenced to federal prison in strangulation case
CASPER, Wyo. — A Wyoming man has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for assault by strangulation. Arapahoe resident Daniel Anthony Whiteplume, 26, was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl, who imposed the sentence on July 10, according to a release by the U.S. Justice Department.

JACKSON, Wyo. — For those wondering where the haze that’s settled in Jackson Hole is coming from, the answer is wildfires to the west of the valley. The smoke from several large wildfires blazing in eastern Oregon, central Idaho and southern Montana is blowing east and settling in the valley, according to Brett McDonald, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Riverton, Wyoming.
