Troy Rookie All-Stars compete in World Series
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Troy All-Stars represented Alabama at the Dixie Ozone Rookies (11U) World Series in Mississippi this past weekend. Troy went 2-2 at the World Series. They opened up the World Series with a 8-5 win over Livingston on July 18. Cole Cleveland led Troy at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, while Elliot Cochran went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Barrett Powell and Elliot pitched two innings each. Elliot struck out two and gave up two hits and two earned runs, while Barrett struck out three and gave up no hits or earned runs.

Troy Tiger Sharks qualify for State Swim Meet
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... On Saturday, July 13th, the Troy Tiger Sharks Swim Team travelled to Dothan for the District VI Swim Meet. The Tiger Sharks placed 3rd overall in the district and had 22 swimmers qualify in a combined total of 37 individual entries and 7 relays for the State Swimming Championships that will be held in Opelika, Alabama July 26th-27th.
Troy Post 70 wins State Championship
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Troy Post 70 19U summer baseball team won its eighth straight American Legion Baseball State Championship this past weekend. Post 70 went 5-0 in the State Tournament to earn a spot in the American Legion Southeast Regional. On Friday, July 19, Troy started the tournament off with a 20-1 win over Post 107. Cody Walsh went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, one RBI and one run, while future Troy Trojan Cody Markham went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Troy native Payne Jefcoat earned a triple and two runs. Future Troy Trojan Brady Richardson also scored four runs.
