A Queens-based construction company is relocating to Long Island with its acquisition of an industrial property in Glenwood Landing.

FOS Development Corp., a general contractor specializing in public works projects, purchased two buildings totaling 7,695 square feet on .93 acres at 165 Shore Road for $2.45 million. The waterfront property was formerly occupied by an auto body business.

FOS, which will be relocating from leased space in Long Island City, is planning on making extensive renovations to the Glenwood Landing property which will serve as its corporate headquarters, according to a broker on the deal.

Founded in 2014, FOS Development performs projects in and around the New York metropolitan area for a variety of government agencies, specializing in the transit, infrastructure, renewable energy, military and educational institutions sectors, according to its website.

Alberto Fiorini of Alliance Real Estate represented the buyer, while Eric Gillman and Adam Bass of CBRE represented the seller, Skipjack Properties LLC, in the sales transaction.
