Products of the Month - February 2021

It has been a little while since I have done a product post, so now is the perfect time to do one and share some new brands with yall that I have been trying out in the past couple of months. This month’s product round up is a mix of wellness and beauty items and I hope you take a look at them if they spark any personal interest.

I love being able to try out different brands, and be able to bring awareness to them for you all. There are so many different products out on the market, and I honestly can’t try them all, but when I find something interesting I have to share it!!!

Here are the products that I am featuring this month (below), a little bit about each brand, and my personal review.

Layered Fragrance Body Spray - Sholayered

I received the body sprays around the holidays, and the first thing that I had noticed was the packaging. It’s so simple and sleek, but so pretty at the same time… I have no idea if that makes any sense at all. But anyway I loved how everything looked when it came in the mail.

The scents are very light, but last for a while!! The 3 scents that I picked out were: Fresh Pear, Orange Blossom and Mysterious Mix. I am a fan of light, sweet and fresh scents, so the Pear and Orange scents have been my go to!! I love that the bottles are small enough to carry with you on the go, incase you want to refresh while out and about. I recommend that you check out Sholayered if you are looking for something unique in the fragrance department.

Apres - Plant Based Protein Drink

Lately in the past month or 2 now… I have been getting my workout life back together. I had fallen off quite a bit in the past year and I just wasn’t motivated to workout like I was before. I practically lived in the gym in 2019… 2020 changed that so much, anyway with all of that my effort and drive to stay in shape is back, so I was excited when Apres reached out and wanted to send over a variety of their protein drinks for me to try out. They are a plant based product and they have 4 different flavors (Mint Chocolate, Sea Salt Chocolate, Vanilla Bean and Cold Brew Coffee). My Favorite out of all of the flavors was the Sea Salt Chocolate!! The drinks as a whole all have great flavor and don’t have that strange protein chalky after taste, which is always a plus!!! They also include MCTs, Coconut Oil and Coconut water, which helps to replenish and refresh the body!! If you are looking for a new protein drink to try, I highly recommend you check them out!!

Maelove Skincare

For years, women have been told to use an endless number of skincare products and have been overwhelmed with hyped marketing claims. This is when skincare becomes confusing and expensive.

I have been struggling a ton with my skin in the past year, so I was excited to be sent over a few products from Maelove Skincare. They are another brand that is all about simplicity, having a quality product that actually works and you don’t have to break the bank for it. The products that I have been using in the past month are The Night Renewer, The Glow Maker, and The Exfoliator. I was also sent over The Sun Protector (which is their SPF), and I just started using that in the past couple of weeks. So far the SPF has been great!! I love that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling super greasy after applying and I don’t look ashy and grey after it is worked in to my skin. The Night Renewer and The Glow Maker have been a dynamic duo in my night time skin care routine!!! The Night Renewer has Glycolic Acid in it and The Glow Maker has Vitamins C, E, ferulic acid and sodium hyaluronate. The combo of the 2 products together have helped a ton with clearing up my breakouts. I have definitely seen a big difference in my skin compared to what it has been looking and feeling like in the past several months. I will definitely be looking in to more products by Maelove soon!!
