NMSU names Rick Marlatt next associate dean of Graduate School
New Mexico State University has selected Rick Marlatt to serve as associate dean of the Graduate School. He began his role on July 1. “I am honored to join the Graduate School at New Mexico State University and am tremendously excited to contribute to the vision of empowering graduate students to succeed throughout their academic endeavors and beyond,” he said.
Love’s Opens Ohio Site, Remodels New Mexico Store
Love’s Travel Stops recently announced the opening of two stores — one in Delphos, Ohio, which is a new store, and one in Las Cruces, N.M., a remodeled site. The Ohio site is located off of US 30 and Lincoln Highway and is open 24/7. Inside, the c-store offers all the amenities Love’s is known for including fresh food and drinks, Love’s-branded snacks and a Hardees. For drivers, the location adds 86 truck parking spaces to Love’s network.

Meet the Interns: Abiquiu Garden Project
New and familiar faces joined forces for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s 11th annual Abiquiú Garden Project. Under the guidance of Agapita (Pita) Lopez, Projects Director of Abiquiú Historic Properties, Project Coordinators Josephine Dominguez, a former garden project intern herself, and Randy Garcia helmed the yearly undertaking of planting, tending to, and harvesting the beloved garden filled with the favorite foods of Georgia O’Keeffe. This year, three interns returned with two first-time interns who combined their experience and new ideas for a successful growing season.
