Baton Rouge, LA – Bally’s Corporation has announced a definitive merger agreement with Standard General L.P., its largest stockholder, to acquire the company’s outstanding shares for $18.25 per share. This transaction, valued at approximately $4.6 billion, represents a 71% premium over Bally’s 30-day volume weighted average price prior to Standard General’s initial acquisition proposal. The merger will see Bally’s combine with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (QC&E), expanding its portfolio to 19 gaming and entertainment facilities across 11 U.S. states, including two key properties in Louisiana.
