It feels like summer’s already starting to wrap up and fall is just around the corner. While there is still some time left before the seasons really start to change, now’s the time when many people are looking for ways to save money and bring a bit of cozy living back to their lives.

    Seasonal Produce

Aldi has a large selection of fall produce, ranging from broccoli to squash to sweet potatoes. This — and the big savings potential — is part of why Mac said he shops there.

“Aldi’s produce section shines in the fall when seasonal fruits and veggies are at their peak,” he said. “The quality is excellent and prices can’t be beat on staple items like onions, carrots, broccoli and more.”

Other options include Brussels sprouts, pears, onions and carrots.

    Frozen Meals and Appetizers

When it comes to affordable frozen meals and apps, Aldi’s got its competition beat. The selection changes regularly, but you’re bound to find some options — from breakfast sandwiches to hash brown patties to pizza — for cheap.

“Don’t sleep on Aldi’s freezer section,” Mac said. “It’s full of seasonal favorites this time of year at impressively low prices.”

    Baking Ingredients

Fall’s the perfect time to start experimenting in the kitchen. For many people, that means baking a lot of sweets — and maybe even perfecting your grandmother’s cookie recipe for the upcoming winter holidays.

“Aldi has an impressive selection of autumnal baking ingredients for a fraction of what you’d pay elsewhere,” Mac said. He recommended getting staples like flour, sugar, chocolate chips, nuts, pumpkin puree and pie shells.

    Pasta Sauce

Sure, Aldi has a standard selection of tomato- and cream-based pasta sauces, but did you know the store also often carries seasonal flavors?

“One item that screams ‘fall’ to me is the pumpkin and butternut squash pasta sauce,” Michael said. “At just $3.99, this sauce is a total steal and brings those cozy, rich autumn flavors to any pasta dish. It’s like a warm hug in a jar!”

    Seasonal Snacks

Aldi also has snacks in an assortment of fall flavors — you know, like pumpkin spice and apple cider.

“I’m a sucker for anything pumpkin spice or apple flavored, so items like the pumpkin spice pretzels and apple cider donuts always end up in my cart,” Michael said. “They’re perfect for munching on while watching football or just embracing those festive fall vibes.”

    Maple Syrup

Whether you’re big on French toast and pancakes or you want something sweet to go with your roasted veggies, maple syrup is an essential pantry item this fall.

And if syrup isn’t your thing, that’s okay. Aldi has other maple-flavored goodies too.

“From syrups to snacks, these items are ideal for jazzing up breakfasts or satisfying a sweet tooth in a seasonal way,” Michael said.

    Charcuterie Boards

Depending on where you live, you might find full-on charcuterie boards at Aldi. But even if you can’t, or if you’ve already got one at home, you can still pick up the foods that go on them — like cheeses, meats, olives, berries and crackers.

“Fall is prime time for gatherings with friends and family, and Aldi’s specialty cheeses and charcuterie items are clutch for elevating any spread,” Michael said. “I always keep an eye out for unique seasonal varieties that pair well with classic autumn flavors. An epic charcuterie board is an easy way to impress guests!”

    Clancy’s Pumpkin Spice Tortilla Chips

“Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to Clancy’s pumpkin spice tortilla chips,” Michael said. “They’re a totally unique and fun take on classic chips, making them perfect for fall get-togethers or just snacking on solo while studying.”

You can pair these flavored tortilla chips with different types of salsas and dips, which you can also find premade at Aldi. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also whip up your own salsa using ingredients from the store’s spice and produce sections.
