Flying on an airplane for your next vacation or trip? Don’t depart without making a Walmart run first. The big-box retailer has tons of travel-size items available to shop that other retailers and warehouse clubs don’t have in stock. Is it more cost-effective to buy travel-size toothpaste and a toothbrush together in a set or separately? To determine the answer, GOBankingRates compared the total cost of the Reach oral care travel kit to Crest mini toothpaste (97 cents) and the Reach toothbrush ($1.12) sold separately at Walmart.
Shoppers that purchase the Crest toothpaste and Reach toothbrush together spend $2.09. This is about three cents less than the cost of the Reach oral care travel kit and sans the carrying pouch that comes with the oral care travel kit. If you’re worried about not being able to find these specific toothpaste and toothbrush brands to save money, shop the kit and rest easy knowing you only spent $2.12 altogether.
