9 Best Items To Buy at Sam’s Club Before Halloween
By Heather Taylor,
Halloween inventory is already stocked and ready to shop at Sam’s Club, and savvy members are likely creating a separate budget line with these spooktacular deals in mind.
To help you shop, GOBankingRates reviewed the selection of Halloween merchandise for sale at Sam’s Club and pulled nine items across departments like outdoor décor, snacks and more. Many of our decisions were influenced by five-star reviews from Sam’s Club shoppers and affordable prices meant to treat, not trick, your wallet.
It’s not a Halloween-themed roundup without a bulk candy bag included for trick-or-treaters, which is why we added Hershey’s factory favorites to this list.
This variety pack is loaded with mini Hershey’s bars, Whoppers, Kit Kats and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. With 155 pieces of candy inside the bag, this comes out to paying about 13 cents each.
Whether you want to add some spooky fun to lunches or are bringing in snacks for a Halloween classroom party, add the Utz Halloween pretzel barrel to your Sam’s Club shopping cart.
Inside are 66 individually packaged pretzel snacks in the shape of bats and pumpkins. When we crunch the numbers, this comes out to paying just 12 cents per pretzel baggie.
Swap out candy and give trick or treaters Rice Krispies Halloween treats on Halloween night. This limited-time offering at Sam’s Club is just $11.48 for a box of 100 individually packaged Rice Krispies treats.
This comes out to spending about 11 cents per treat. Any leftovers remaining can also be used in school lunches or as snacks since these treats all come in the original flavor.
This set of five pre-lit pumpkin lights comes with five stakes for setting up and a 5′ lead cord for easy placement both indoors and outdoors. Positive five star reviews from Sam’s Club members highlight the many compliments these pumpkin lights receive which makes them worth the money.
Member’s Mark Pre-Lit Black Metal Jack-O-Lantern Set
Price: $39.94
If you’d rather not spend a lot of money on real pumpkins to carve this year, consider shopping for Member’s Mark pre-lit black metal jack-o’-lantern set . For just under $40 you’ll receive three jack-o’-lanterns with LED candles along with six AA batteries and a timer to turn off when not in use.
“The pumpkins are well made, can be stacked or unstacked and are a third the price of similar competitors. Truly love them!” wrote reviewer Krisland in a five-star review.
This three-piece candle set includes a remote control with a timer and six AA batteries for lighting. Available in gold and silver, these wax candles have enough versatility to be used again during the winter holidays in addition to during Halloween.
Illuminate your porch or balcony in a mysterious purple glow with this set of three Member’s Mark pre-lit witch hats . These hats may be placed indoors or outdoors and come with a 9.84-foot lead cord and a 78″ cord between each hat.
Buyer beware, however, because the five-star reviews of these witch hats emphasize that the hats are pretty big. If you find this is an issue facing your Halloween decoration plans, one reviewer, Karen, wrote that you can hang the witch hats indoors instead.
Member’s Mark Musical Halloween Skeletons
Price: $159.96
How do you look at the Member’s Mark musical Halloween skeletons and not instantly want to take them home? If you have enough backyard or front yard space, this set of two animated skeletons add plenty of chills and thrills to Halloween festivities. Both stand at over 5’5″ tall and play a frightful trumpet and saxophone duet.
“Amazing!! Best Halloween decor I’ve seen in years,” wrote Joyce in a five-star review. “Easy to assemble and both old and young are mesmerized by their movements. Good price for the quality.”
If you’re a fan of shopping for inflatable Halloween decorations, you’ll love the Member’s Mark pre-lit inflatable dragon at Sam’s Club . This inflatable dragon comes with heavy-duty lawn stakes and tethers to secure in yards and self-inflates in seconds (also self-deflating in seconds to quickly store after use).
Five-star reviews from Sam’s Club shoppers highlight the ease in being able to inflate the dragon as well as its ability to withstand heavy wind. And while this inflatable dragon is easily the most expensive item in this roundup, many positive reviews said the price tag was worth it.
“This Halloween dragon was one of my best purchases,” wrote reviewer Doezer Dave. “I was nervous about spending $200 on an item I couldn’t see in person but decided to give it a shot. Wow!!! This thing was unbelievable! I get over 100+ kids every year at my door for candy, and this thing was a hit! Go ahead and buy him, he’s awesome!”
