The holidays can be full of joy, but they’re also an expensive time of year for many. According to the National Retail Federation , holiday sales grew by 3.8% last year to $964.4 billion.

One of the biggest areas where people spend the most around the holidays is tech — that is, electronics and appliances. Sales for these areas went up by 9.3% last year.

With all things considered, it’s easy to step outside your budget and spend hundreds of dollars or more on holiday items, including gifts. If you want to cut down on how much you shell out this November and December, now’s a good time to start your holiday shopping. Some brands, like Apple, often go up for the holidays.

If you’re in the market for new tech , here are five Apple products to purchase now before prices go up for the holidays.
