Apple products can be expensive, but there’s a reason why there are so many die-hard Apple fans. The company designs — and sells — top-tier tech like iPhones, AirPods and MacBooks that are hard to beat in terms of quality and innovation.

If you’re thinking about buying some new tech this year and still hope to save money , you might want to wait until closer to the holiday season. This is because Apple has been known to mark down some of its products near the end of the year, particularly last-gen tech when newer models have been released.

Earlier this month in fact, Apple announced its newest products coming to stores. This includes the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, AirPods 4 and Apple Watch Series 10. If you don’t mind going back a generation or so, you could get some great holidays deals.

In contrast, here are five Apple items you should buy now .

Money mistakes the super wealthy never make - that you might be doing now.

    iPhone 15

    Price: $699 to $799

Apple has just announced the latest iPhones, the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Both of these are joining the company’s long lineup of other high-end phones, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

If you want to save a little bit of money on a new phone, check out the iPhone 15 ($699 and up) or iPhone 15 Plus ($799 and up). Or if you want to splurge a bit, the iPhone 15 Pro boasts more advanced features and starts at $999. In either case, wait a little as this model has started steadily dropping in price.

The base model iPhone 15 comes with a 6.1-inch display and 128GB of storage (upgradable to either 256GB or 512GB). It also comes in several colors, including black, green and pink.

    iPad

    Price: $349

This isn’t Apple’s latest iPad , but it’s still a sold entry-level device for those who need something more portable than a laptop and larger than a phone for everyday tasks. You can use it for basic administrative, school and work purposes. And (of course), you can use it for entertainment.

It comes with either 64GB or 256GB of storage, can be connected to both Wi-Fi and cellular and is upgradable in other ways. For instance, you can add on an Apple Pencil or Magic Keyboard for a bit more.

Although Apple hasn’t announced any newer iPads, you might still be able to find some deals closer to the holidays. So, if you’re not in a rush, it might be worth waiting for another month or so to buy.

    MacBook Air

    Price: $990 to $1,299

When it comes to sleek, portable laptops, Apple has the competition beat with its MacBook Air . It comes with either a 13- or 15-inch screen and either an M2 or M3 chip. Despite on which version you choose, you can expect an 8-core CPU, 8- or 10-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB or 512GB SSD storage. It also comes with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.

Like other Apple products, this one might drop in price around the holidays. Sites like Camelcamelcamel show that MacBooks have historically dipped around December.

    Apple Watch

    Price: Starting at $399

In its latest report, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 10 , which has an updated design, a new S10 chip and a polished titanium design option. It also announced its upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 2, which comes in satin black.

If you want a high-end smartwatch that’s a little cheaper, the Apple Watch Series 9 goes for about $150 less than the latest model. Waiting until the holidays could potentially see an even greater price reduction, especially if you shop at stores like Target where they often have additional discounts.

Regardless of which series you go with, the Apple Watch is a winner. You can choose between a couple of different sizes — like 41 mm and 45 mm. The watch can also do everything you’d expect a smartwatch to do, such as track your sleep and heart rate, alert you whenever your heart rate is off and more. It also comes with 18 to 36 hours of life at full charge, depending on use.

    AirPods 4

    Price: $129

In its latest report, Apple also announced the AirPods 4 and AirPods Max. These are “the world’s first all-in-one hearing health experience with AirPods Pro 2,” according to the Apple website

The latest lineup in their AirPods series, they come with revolutionary hearing protection, hearing aid features, and a hearing test. They’re essentially a personalized hearing aid that, thanks to the built-in tech, can be automatically applied to phone calls, music and movies.

While it’s unclear whether or not these will drop in price, it doesn’t hurt to see. These AirPods are already about $10 cheaper than the previous generation. Depending on discounts and other retailer sales, they could become even more affordable.
