When it comes to modern technology, Apple is a pioneering brand that continues to innovate how we communicate, how we learn and how we live our lives.

However, not all Apple products are created equal. While these products don’t necessarily spoil the entire brand, some simply are not worth the cost to buy .

Here are six Apple products that you should either splurge on buying, settle for the price or skip purchasing outright .

Money mistakes the super wealthy never make - that you might be doing now.

    Splurge On

    Apple Watch Ultra

    • Average price: $799

The Apple Watch Ultra has been introduced for the last frontier — the last limits of the human body, according to Gevorg Nazaryan, the CTO and co-founder of Docus .

“Be it an adrenalin- fueled extreme sports athlete or a tech savvy who lives for absolute accuracy perfection,” he said “With built-in dual-band GPS, long battery life and durability, this is more than just a fitness watch — it is a multi-functional device. For anyone interested in the functional health aspect of the device or outdoor activities, you can trust the precise nature of the Ultra.

“Its battery life is 36 hours along with a depth sensor for divers. Those who are serious about fitness or love outdoor activities will benefit from this purchase for many years to come.”

    Apple Mac Studio (M2 Ultra)

    • Average price: $3,999

Cache Merrill, founder of Zibtek and a lifelong tech geek, called the Mac Studio “one of those machines that anyone engaged in creative or development work would love to have.”

The Mac Studio with M2 Ultra is not for the casual user; it is for someone who doesn’t consider it as a computer — rather a workstation for 3D rendering, machine learning or developing complex applications,” Merrill explained. “The amount of money you shell out is for elite-level performance, and if that is what your work requires, this investment will pay for itself in productivity enhancements.”

    Settle For

    Apple iPhone 15

    • Average price: $799

You don’t need the iPhone 15 Pro to be on the edge of what Apple has to offer, just this base model in Merrill’s opinion.

“The base iPhone 15 still combines the A16 chip, Dynamic Island and improved camera features,” he said. “The Pro or Pro Max’s added features and performance is something most users will not ever need with this model for all that is required performance wise.

“The flagship smartphone performance and features at the cost of mid-range models provide exactly such an outcome. Unless you are a mobile gamer or a blooming professional photographer needing a telephoto lens, this is it.”

    iPad Air (5th Gen)

    • Average price: $599

“The iPads Air is nearly as proficient as the iPads Pro, but cost less than the iPads Pro, so why not use an iPad Air,” shared Belema Ronabere, the business formation expert and marketing specialist at Persuasion Nation .

Ronabere described it as a perfect gadget for such things as moderate productive activities, note writing in the digital space and utilization during travel.

“There’s the M1 chip that makes it quicker than the average iPad without the additional price of the iPad Pro,” she said. “The iPad Air is a great selling point for students, target workers or freelancers and small company owners since the price does not limit their functionality and mobility.”

    Skip Altogether

    Apple HomePod (2nd Generation)

    • Average price: $299

Despite its excellent sound quality, the HomePod is a niche product in an increasingly competitive market in the eyes of Chris Dukich, the owner of Display Now.

“Smart speakers from Google and Amazon offer more comprehensive integrations with third-party apps and home devices at a lower price point,” said Dukich. “Unless you’re deeply embedded in the Apple ecosystem and value its superior sound, this product might be a luxury that many consumers can skip in favor of more versatile options.”

    Apple Magic Mouse

    • Average price: $79

“The design of the Magic Mouse is, well, complicated as it has betrayed everything concerning comfort for beauty,” said Ronabere, noting how this Apple product has a strange charging port, and it is less ergonomically friendly.

It is simply a waste for individuals who work long hours on a computer.

“A lot of people prefer to use third-party products such as Logitech’s MX Master series, which are somehow more convenient for work than Magic Mouse,” she shared.
