Shopping Experts: 7 Items in Our Target Carts This Fall

Target is a popular shopping destination for people who want to find quality products at budget -friendly prices. But it’s not all about grabbing up the latest seasonal arrivals.
Mafe Aclado, the general manager of Coupon Snake , said that before adding an item to her shopping cart, she double checks the item’s usefulness or looks for items with extra value. And when she visits the physical store, she starts her shopping at the clearance section.
Ben Sporn, CEO of Joy Wallet , has a similar plan when it comes to value and usefulness. “This fall, I’m focusing on smart seasonal purchases at Target that strike a balance between value and functionality,” he said.
Aclado said she has always adored comfortable footwear that allows you to wear it all day. That’s why, this fall, she’s choosing to put a pair of faux suede clog mules in her Target shopping cart.
“For me, the best part is that they are both fashionable and comfortable, and for $29.99, adding this durable yet affordable footwear to my wardrobe would really be money well spent,” she explained.
“The holiday season is coming fast, and for me, faux shearling throw blankets are just one of those things you can almost never have too much of around the house,” said Aclado. “This is why the printed plush houndstooth throw with faux shearling reverse — blue color because it goes well with my couch — is one of the items already in my Target cart this fall. For $15, there is no doubt in my mind that I would be getting my money’s worth in quality and huggable comfort.”
Modern Backpack
Another item Aclado said she recently added to her Target shopping cart this fall is A New Day’s modern backpack for $35, which comes in either brown or black.
“Although I am not quite sure yet, I believe this bag would make an excellent work bag, especially for my laptop,” she explained.
Threshold Flannel Sheets
Sporn said that one of his go-to items are Threshold Flannel Sheets , which retail between $30-$45, depending on size, and come in solids and prints.
“As temperatures drop, they’re a simple upgrade that makes a big difference in comfort — and they’re often on sale, making them a budget-friendly way to cozy up without splurging,” he said.
“It’s versatile, from making pumpkin pancakes to quick breads,” he explained, “and stocking up now ensures I can ride the fall wave of recipes without paying more during any last-minute rush.”
“It might seem early, but flu season doesn’t wait, and Target’s generic versions are significantly cheaper than name brands, which is a simple way to save while being prepared,” he said.
Chunky Knit Throws
“Lastly, I always grab a couple of chunky knit throws from the fall home collection,” said Sporn. “They’re great for warming up the living room and serve as easy seasonal décor that adds a cozy touch without costing a lot.”
Threshold brand chunky knit throws retail for $35 at Target.
