Missing Will County Woman’s Car Found in Kankakee County near Hunting Area
Wilmington, IL – Wilmington police are urgently seeking public assistance in locating Jennifer Tannhauser, 41, who has been missing for a week. On July 10, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., authorities received a report of a missing woman from Fulton St. in Wilmington, who was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis. Despite an extensive search of Wilmington and surrounding areas, officers were unable to locate her.

Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District assist in Yorkville water rescue
The Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District reports that a child is safe after they were reported missing in the Fox River near Hydraulic Ave in Yorkville Tuesday morning. Dispatch reported a child was on a tube in the river and went missing at approximately 10:52. A Chief Officer with the BKFPD was on scene within a minute and met with a bystander who reported the child was out of the water and safe. The child was confirmed to be out of the water and was checked out by paramedics.

A new Galesburg grocery store will be able to sell packaged liquor despite the objection of two City Council members. Galesburg Aldermen on Monday approved a Class C-1 liquor license for Save More, a new grocery expected to open within the next two week at 900 E. Main St., the former Sav A Lot. The license was approved 5-2, with Ward 3 Alderman Evan Miller and Ward 4 Alderman Dwight White casting no votes.

The Henry County Office of Emergency Management has declared a local state of emergency for Kewanee and Wethersfield Townships. Residents in these areas who are uninsured or underinsured and do not have the physical ability to clear downed trees from their property, may request assistance from the Henry County Office of Emergency Management. The Henry County OEM has partnered with local non-profit to provide tree cutting services for qualifying residents. “This is an offer for physical assistance, and not a financial benefit.”

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Peoria police are looking for a person held up a fast-food restaurant in north Peoria late Monday. According to Semone Roth, a department spokeswoman, the heist occurred at a McDonald’s located in the 7000 block of North University Street, which is less than a block from the intersection with Pioneer Parkway.

Three men arrested after reports of shots fired Tuesday in Macomb
MACOMB, Ill. — Three men were arrested Tuesday after officers with the Macomb Police Department responded to the area of Albert and Piper for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived on the scene at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, and determined no one was injured and the suspects had fled the scene. Officers began collecting evidence and searched the neighborhood for the suspects’ vehicle. MPD officers eventually found the vehicle and developed information that the suspects were in a Macomb residence and likely still armed.
