But host Alfonso Ribeiro dropped the bombshell that two would be sent home in week two. The results were decided by combining the judges’ scores and viewer votes from both weeks of the competition. Spelling unfortunately got the axe while showing improvement. Her premiere foxtrot with pro partner Pasha Pashkov scored 17 out of 30 from the judges, while her “Oscars Night” rumba bumped her up two points to 19. Delvey stagnated, though, getting 18 points in week one <a href="https://www.goldderby.com/article/2024/anna-delvey-dancing-with-the-stars-cha-cha/" rel="nofollow"> for her cha cha </a> with brand new pro Ezra Sosa and then dipping to 17 points in week two for a quickstep. Spelling ended up 10th out of the 13 celebs while Delvey was 11th. Below them were elder statesmen Reginald VelJohnson and Eric Roberts , but clearly viewers voting at home wanted to save the senior celebs. A convicted fraudster who inspired the limited series “Inventing Anna,” she had to dance wearing an ankle monitor. And though she claimed she wanted to show America a different, more positive side of her, she didn’t even seem to enjoy her participation. In the premiere she expressed relief that her dance was over, and after she was eliminated, when co-host Julianne Hough asked her what she’d take away from the experience, she answered, “Nothing.” So maybe it’s just as well that she exited the show; she seemed to have one foot out the door already.
