Man charged in fatal DUI crash in Madison County, Illinois
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - Prosecutors in Madison County, Illinois, have charged a Bethalto man in a fatal DUI crash in May in Hartford. Israel K. Evans, 24, was charged Friday with aggravated DUI resulting in death and reckless homicide in the death of 24-year-old Jacob S.P. Werner, also of Bethalto, Illinois. Prosecutors are asking he be confined pending trial, according to a Madison County State’s Attorney news release.

Community members bought raffle tickets and donated money to contribute to the fundraiser. The Freers broke their record for the most money ever raised through Christmas in July.
