After alienating Asian people, detested California District Attorney to announce her 'Chinese name'

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price has made a significant gesture by setting plans to officially announce her Chinese name.

The announcement will take place at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, located at 388 9th Street, Ste 290 Room 4, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Joined by Elaine Peng, the Founder of the Mental Health Association of Chinese Communities, District Attorney Pamela Price shared this moment as a tribute to her heritage and as a recognition of the diverse AAPI community in Alameda County.

The event, which was also livestreamed on the Alameda County District Attorney's Office social media channels, highlighted the importance of embracing cultural identity and fostering inclusivity within the community.

Price is facing a recall effort set for the November general election. Her progressive policies and reform-minded decisions have become flashpoints of debate for Alameda County voters amid rising crime and lawlessness in the East Bay.
