The National Weather Service in Eureka, CA, forecasts hot and dry conditions for the interior regions this week. Temperatures are expected to peak on Wednesday before gradually cooling later in the week. Coastal areas will experience persistent low clouds and fog, with improved chances for afternoon clearing on Tuesday and Wednesday.

An upper-level trough is moving inland, allowing high pressure to build over the area. This shift will compress the marine layer, reducing stratus clouds along the coast and potentially bringing clearer skies. Inland regions will experience a few degrees of warming, especially in areas previously influenced by marine conditions. High-level moisture from remnant hurricanes west of Mexico may result in some high clouds today and Wednesday.
