The City of Beverly Hills is inviting architects, designers, and developers to submit preapproved plans for detached Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) as part of its new “Preapproved ADU Program.” This initiative aims to streamline the process of constructing ADUs in compliance with state requirements while reflecting the unique character of the community.

The program will feature approved plans on the City’s website, allowing property owners to select from these designs to speed up the approval process and reduce costs.

Applications are open until Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. Property owners must still contract with the designer, obtain a building permit, and include specific property details to proceed.
