California High-Speed Rail Authority Appoints Transportation Veteran as New CEO

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CAHSR) has named Ian Choudri as its new Chief Executive Officer, tasked with leading the next phase of the project’s development. Choudri will succeed Brian Kelly, who announced his retirement in January after serving six years in the role.

Choudri brings over 30 years of experience in the transportation sector to the position, including work on high-speed rail projects in France and Spain. He currently serves as Senior Vice President for HNTB Corporation, an infrastructure design firm based in Kansas City, Missouri.

CAHSR officials expressed confidence in Choudri’s expertise, highlighting his extensive background in high-speed rail as a valuable asset for advancing the ambitious project.
