Bimbo Bakeries USA has announced the closure of several facilities, resulting in the layoff of 269 employees across three locations. The company will shut down its production and distribution plant in San Antonio by October 5, affecting 138 workers, according to reports.

The decision was disclosed in state filings, but details regarding the closures' impact or rationale have not been elaborated in the filings, reports indicated.
