Planet Fitness Awards $250,000 in Scholarships to Young Changemakers Nationwide in Kindness Campaign

Planet Fitness, one of the leading fitness center operators, has announced the recipients of its annual Judgement Free Generation® scholarship, awarding a total of $250,000 to 50 teens from Boys & Girls Clubs across the U.S. Each recipient received $5,000 in recognition of their commitment to fostering inclusion, acceptance, and kindness within their communities.

This year, over half of the recipients are first-generation college students, underscoring the scholarship's impact on supporting young changemakers. Since its inception in 2017, Planet Fitness has awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships, honoring teens whose actions align with the Judgement Free values promoted by Planet Fitness and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

During the Summit for America's Youth in Washington, D.C., the scholarship winners were celebrated with a special on-stage moment. Jayla B. from San Pedro, California, a 2024 recipient, emphasized the importance of empathy in creating a supportive culture, stating, "By promoting kindness and understanding, we could create a world where everybody feels valued and supported."
