The National Weather Service in Sacramento has forecasted one final day of hot and dry weather for the region before cooler temperatures and increased humidity set in next week. On Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s to low 100s in the Valley, with 80s and 90s in the foothills and mountains. Dry conditions will persist, with afternoon humidity levels ranging from 10 to 35 percent across various areas.

However, starting Sunday, a cooling trend will bring temperatures down to the upper 80s and low 90s, particularly from the Delta to the Central Sacramento Valley. Morning lows are expected to drop to the upper 50s to low 60s by Tuesday, further signaling the shift. Breezy conditions with south to west winds gusting between 15-25 MPH are also expected each afternoon throughout the week.
