The Los Angeles area is expected to maintain seasonable temperatures through the weekend, with only minor day-to-day variations, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard. Temperatures will hover near normal, with highs ranging from 70-85 degrees in coastal areas to 85-98 degrees inland.

Low clouds and fog are anticipated to push into coastal areas during the night and morning hours. While much of the Central Coast cleared by Monday evening, low clouds persisted around Santa Catalina Island and the Palos Verdes Peninsula, with some expansion expected overnight. Patchy dense fog is also possible, especially along the Central Coast.

Gusty southwest winds in areas such as the Highway 14 Corridor and the Antelope Valley are expected to diminish overnight. The region will experience a slight cooling trend into Tuesday, followed by gradual warming into Wednesday and Thursday. Despite the warmup, even the hottest valleys and deserts are unlikely to reach 100 degrees.

There is a chance of advisory-level Sundowner winds in southwest Santa Barbara County on Tuesday evening, increasing in likelihood through Thursday. These winds may influence cloud coverage and temperatures, especially in the Santa Barbara South Coast, which could remain warm and mostly cloud-free due to downsloping winds.
