Residents in Southern California can expect dry and seasonable weather to continue through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Diego. Breezy westerly winds will persist through parts of the mountains and deserts, particularly through Tuesday night, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph in some areas like Whitewater near the San Gorgonio Pass.

The marine layer will bring more low clouds and fog to coastal areas each night and morning, becoming more widespread and lasting longer than in previous days. While temperatures on Tuesday are expected to remain close to seasonal norms, inland areas may experience slightly warmer conditions mid-week as high pressure strengthens.

Looking ahead, monsoon moisture could return by the weekend, increasing the chances of thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts on Sunday and Monday. However, the forecast is still being monitored for any changes as the weekend approaches.
