Southern California will see temperatures remain below to near normal through the weekend, with overnight fog and low clouds affecting coastal areas. A broad high pressure system will build over the region, leading to slight warming through Thursday, but temperatures are expected to drop again on Friday as a powerful trough moves in from the Pacific Northwest.

Gusty winds are forecasted for the Santa Barbara South Coast and Antelope Valley during the evenings, with wind advisories likely for the Santa Ynez mountains. Expect gusts up to 50 mph in some areas.

Low clouds and fog will persist along the coast, with the potential for increased cloud cover in the Los Angeles Basin due to a moderate Catalina Eddy.
