The National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard has updated its forecast, indicating near-normal daytime highs through the weekend with a warm-up expected early next week. Coastal areas will experience patchy overnight and morning low clouds and fog.

Gusty winds are forecasted for Southwest Santa Barbara County and the Antelope Valley from this evening through Thursday night, with a Wind Advisory in effect.

Today’s weather featured sunny skies with temperatures rising 3 to 8 degrees above normal, especially in the western Santa Barbara South Coast where sundowner winds caused significant warming. Despite minimal marine layer clouds, some increase in coverage is possible over LA beaches.

High pressure will build through Thursday night, leading to slightly warmer temperatures, while a trough approaching from the Pacific Northwest will bring cooler conditions and potentially more cloud cover by Saturday.
