Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is set to open its newest location at 3655 Catclaw Dr., Abilene, Texas, on August 27. Known for its award-winning, hand-crafted sandwiches, including cheese steaks and turkey subs, Capriotti's is bringing its 40-year tradition of slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys in-house to the local community.

The new Abilene location will be owned by local entrepreneur Matt Farler, who fell in love with Capriotti's while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Farler's fond memories of the brand and his favorite sandwich, the Capastrami, inspired him to bring Capriotti's to his hometown. "In college, Capriotti's was more than a sandwich shop – it was a place of connection and comfort," Farler said. "I am thrilled to bring this beloved franchise to Abilene, the community that my family and I now call home."

Capriotti's is renowned for its signature sandwiches such as The Bobbie, made with fresh oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo, and the Capastrami, featuring hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and homemade coleslaw. The new shop will also offer Capriotti's famous cheese steaks made with premium steak, chicken, or plant-based meat, alongside a range of hot and sweet peppers.

In addition to bringing its unique sandwiches to Abilene, the new Capriotti's location will create a number of job opportunities in the area, contributing to the local economy.
