The weather in San Diego will remain fair and seasonal through the weekend, with clear skies expected this evening.

Temperatures will dip slightly on Saturday. Next week, a strengthening high-pressure system will usher in a warming trend, pushing temperatures above normal.

By Tuesday, highs could exceed 100°F in the Inland Empire and high desert areas, with temperatures over 110°F in the Coachella Valley.

Monsoonal moisture may bring a chance of thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a better chance for more widespread storms on Wednesday.

The marine layer will likely decrease as the ridge and monsoon flow peak.
