Gulfstream's newest private jet for the ultra-wealthy takes successful maiden flight

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. proudly announced the successful first flight of its new Gulfstream G400, marking the official start of its flight test program. The aircraft, which took off from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport at 9:04 a.m. and landed nearly three hours later, reached speeds of Mach 0.85 and altitudes of 41,000 feet using a blend of sustainable aviation fuel.

The Gulfstream G400 sets a new standard in its segment, boasting top performance and comfort. Equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812GA engines, a cutting-edge aerodynamic wing design, and next-generation avionics, the G400 can cover up to 4,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85. Its advanced features include the award-winning Symmetry Flight Deck and Predictive Landing Performance System for enhanced flight safety.

The G400 offers three flexible floorplans accommodating up to 12 passengers and features Gulfstream's renowned Cabin Experience, including 100% fresh air, the lowest cabin altitude in its class, and ten Panoramic Oval Windows.
