The Central Valley will experience slightly below-normal temperatures this weekend, with a return to near-normal temperatures expected by early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford.

The current weather pattern, dominated by a ridge over the central U.S. and an upper low over the Pacific Northwest, is keeping temperatures moderate in the region. However, despite the cooler temperatures and increased humidity, the risk of grass fires remains elevated, particularly in eastern Kern County, where afternoon winds and low relative humidity could fuel fires.

The forecast indicates that temperatures will gradually increase early next week, with another cooling trend expected by the end of the week as a new low-pressure system moves into Northern California.
