U.S. Postal Service to Unveil 2024 Holiday Stamps Aimed at Brightening Festive Season

The U.S. Postal Service will unveil its 2024 holiday stamps at a special dedication ceremony hosted at the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum on Sept. 14. The ceremony will showcase the new Christmas Madonna and Child stamp and the vibrant Holiday Joy stamps, celebrating both traditional and contemporary holiday themes.

USPS Vice President of Marketing Sheila Holman and Vice President of Supply Management Mark Guilfoil will lead the dedication, which will be followed by the National Postal Museum’s Holiday Stamps Family Festival. Guest artist Katie Kirk will also participate in the festivities.

The Madonna and Child stamp, a staple in the Postal Service's holiday collection, continues its tradition of featuring classic depictions of the Virgin Mary and Child. This year's design maintains the iconic essence of past issues. Meanwhile, the Holiday Joy stamps bring a cheerful and colorful touch to holiday greetings.

The event will offer attendees a chance to purchase the new stamps and have them postmarked with a special first-day-of-issue cancellation. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
