Western Washington is experiencing a shift to fall-like weather as an upper-level low moves southward off the Pacific Northwest coast, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, expect mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures in the mid-60s to lower 70s.

The National Weather Service has included a slight chance of thunderstorms on the Olympic Peninsula this afternoon, though activity is expected to be limited.

The upper low will continue to influence the region through Friday, bringing chances of showers and cooler temperatures.

A slight chance of thunderstorms is possible in the Cascades on Thursday afternoon as the air mass becomes slightly unstable.
