Koo Koo Roo, the beloved Los Angeles-based fast-casual chicken restaurant that went out of business over a decade ago, is making a highly anticipated comeback. Dubbed the “tastiest comeback story ever,” Koo Koo Roo will return to the culinary scene at this year’s ChainFest, a gourmet food festival celebrating chain restaurants. The event is set to take place on October 5 in downtown L.A.

Joining Koo Koo Roo at ChainFest will be other well-known chains such as Chili’s, Red Robin, and Panda Express. Founded in the late 1980s, Koo Koo Roo became a local favorite before its eventual closure. Now, fans of the iconic chicken restaurant can once again savor its flavors as it reenters the spotlight at this year’s festival.
