San Francisco Airport TSA Dog Barni Wins Administration's National 2024 Cutest Canine Contest

San Francisco International Airport's Barni, a 5-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, has been crowned the winner of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) 2024 Cutest Canine Contest.

The nationwide social media competition saw TSA employees and the public vote on Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook, narrowing down 87 canine contenders to just four finalists.

Barni, an explosives detection canine, works alongside his handler, Michelle Cogel, to ensure the safety of travelers at SFO.

As part of his victory, Barni will grace the cover of TSA’s 2025 Canine Calendar, to be released in December, according to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.
