Northern California is set to experience calm and warmer-than-usual weather over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service in Eureka. High pressure will build across the region, bringing clear skies and slightly above-normal temperatures. By Wednesday, temperatures could reach above 100°F in the Trinity and Russian River valleys, though this is only expected to pose a moderate heat risk.

Coastal areas will also see warmer conditions, with temperatures potentially reaching the mid-70s. However, afternoon sea breezes are likely to keep things moderate. Gusty northerly winds along the shore could reach up to 30 mph on high ridges.

Looking ahead, a low-pressure system is expected to weaken the high pressure later in the week, leading to a return to more typical temperatures. While there's a slight chance of increased moisture and cloud cover, significant rainfall is unlikely.
