As millions of Americans gear up for Labor Day weekend travel, a new analysis by Jettly highlights the best and worst airports and airlines for avoiding delays and cancellations. According to historical flight data, John Wayne Airport-Orange County ranks as the 11th best in the country for on-time departures during the holiday weekend, followed by Los Angeles International (14th) and San Francisco International (17th). However, travelers at San Francisco Bay Oakland International and San Diego International may face more frustration, with these airports ranking 15th and 17th, respectively, for delayed departures, the report showed.

When it comes to airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Alaska Airlines emerge as the top choices for reliable service, while JetBlue Airways, Allegiant Air, and a tie between Southwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines are flagged as the worst performers for Labor Day weekend travel, according to the report. As one of the busiest travel times of the year approaches, Jettly's findings provide valuable insights for those looking to minimize stress and maximize enjoyment on their holiday journeys, the report found.
