Caltrain to offer $1 fares to all Youth in incredible money-saving deal for California transit

Starting Sunday, Caltrain will offer a new youth fare of $1 for all zones, making it easier for young riders to travel the Peninsula. This reduced fare applies to all payment methods, including the Caltrain Mobile app and ticket vending machines.

Michelle Bouchard, Caltrain Executive Director, highlighted the benefits, stating, "It's now easier than ever for young riders to take advantage of Caltrain, embracing freedom and flexibility rather than traffic and gridlock. Now young people can get up and down the peninsula with ease for less than the cost of a boba tea."

The fare reduction follows a decision made at the August Caltrain Board of Directors meeting. Caltrain services run from San Francisco to San Jose, with extended service to Gilroy.
