Southwest Airlines is gearing up to expand its domestic network this winter, adding a series of new redeye routes aimed at connecting key cities across the country. Starting March 6, 2024, the carrier will introduce eastbound redeye flights from Sacramento, San Diego, and Denver to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), providing travelers with more convenient overnight travel options.

In addition to these new routes, Southwest’s winter schedule will feature several late-night departures from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to major destinations including Baltimore/Washington, Houston Hobby, Nashville, and Chicago Midway. The carrier is also set to launch redeye service from Las Vegas to Orlando, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, and Atlanta.

These additions are part of Southwest’s broader strategy to enhance its network and meet increasing demand for overnight flights, offering passengers greater flexibility and more options for early morning arrivals on the East Coast and beyond. By tapping into the redeye market, Southwest aims to attract both business and leisure travelers looking for efficient travel schedules that maximize their time at their destinations.
