Next Friday, September 6th, families are invited to celebrate National Read a Book Day in a unique way—by combining the joy of reading with the beauty of nature at Muir Woods National Monument. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area is hosting a special walking story time from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, perfect for young readers and their families.

Participants will take a quarter-mile stroll through the towering redwoods, pausing along the way to enjoy segments of a picture book. The event is designed for children aged 4-8, though younger siblings are welcome to join. Along the walk, kids will have the chance to spot forest friends like banana slugs and explore the wonders of the woods.
