California lawmakers quietly passed a bill last Tuesday night that would allow alcohol sales until 4 a.m. inside a small club at the upcoming Intuit Dome, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers. The proposal, known as AB 3206, is now headed to Governor Gavin Newsom's desk for approval, the bill's authors stated.

The bill specifically targets a limited area within the new arena in Inglewood, permitting the extended alcohol sales only in a club with a maximum capacity of 100 people. The Intuit Dome, set to open for the upcoming NBA season, will seat 18,000 fans, according to the Clippers.

Under current state law, alcohol sales are generally prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. If signed into law, this bill would make an exception for the club in the Clippers' new arena, providing a unique late-night option for a select group of patrons, according to authors.

Stupidest idea ever. God forbid someone can’t get alcohol between 2-6am. Just another way to make money.
