Western Washington is set for a warm-up as a strong upper-level ridge rebuilds over the region, bringing dry conditions and above-average temperatures through midweek. The National Weather Service in Seattle reports that temperatures will rise significantly by Wednesday, with coastal areas likely exceeding 80 degrees and interior lowlands reaching the mid-80s. The warm weather will persist into Thursday, with some areas in the Southwest Interior potentially hitting the lower 90s.

As the weekend approaches, the ridge will weaken and shift eastward, leading to a cooling trend. While the coastal areas may see temperatures drop by 15 to 20 degrees on Friday, inland regions will continue to experience unseasonably warm weather. By the weekend, a broad offshore trough is expected to bring cooler conditions and a possible pattern shift toward early autumn, with a slight chance of showers over the Olympic Peninsula by Monday.
