YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, CA – As the summer season wraps up, Yosemite National Park continues to experience high visitor traffic. To manage this influx, the park requires a reservation for private vehicle entry through October 27.

Reservations are mandatory on weekends and Columbus Day (October 14), with slots available through Recreation.gov. These reservations, which cost $2 and cover park entry for three consecutive days, can be booked seven days in advance starting at 8 am PDT. Visitors will also need to pay the park entrance fee unless they possess an America the Beautiful Pass or a Yosemite Annual Pass.

For those without a reservation, access is permitted before 5 am or after 4 pm. Alternatively, visitors can use the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS).
