Northern Nevada is set to experience breezy afternoons through midweek, with gusts potentially reaching up to 40 mph, especially in the Sierra Front area, where a Red Flag Warning is in effect due to critical fire weather conditions. Temperatures will see a slight decrease into early next week but will remain above seasonal averages. A significant cooling trend is expected later in the week as a cold front moves through the region, bringing cooler air and a chance for light showers north of I-80. Stronger southwest winds are forecasted to develop, with gusts possibly exceeding 35 mph in some areas. The cooler weather will provide a noticeable shift towards fall conditions by late next week.
