    California's First Zero Waste Filipino Food & Wine Summit Set for October

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA – On October 6, 2024, the Bay Area will host its first-ever Zero Waste Filipino Food & Wine Summit, LAMON, at the Southeast Community Center in Bayview. From 12 PM to 5 PM, the event will bring together Filipino cuisine and sustainability in a celebration of heritage and environmental stewardship.

    The summit features a bustling marketplace, Filipino-owned beverage tastings, educational panels, and a record-breaking Kamayan dinner. The event will highlight the importance of sustainable food systems, encouraging attendees to bring their own reusable bags and meals.

    Founder Yana Gilbuena said, "LAMON is about honoring our culinary heritage while promoting sustainability."
