Above-normal heat continues across Phoenix and the surrounding areas, with temperatures soaring up to 113 degrees. However, relief is on the way as a weather system moves in from the Pacific Northwest, bringing cooler temperatures and gusty winds starting Wednesday. Expect highs to dip below 110 degrees, with gusts up to 35 mph in parts of southwest Arizona.

By Thursday, temperatures will fall even further, with highs in the low 100s and cooler overnight lows. The weekend could see rain chances as moisture moves in from Baja California, potentially leading to below-normal temperatures early next week. Uncertainty remains, but weather models suggest a wet and cooler stretch ahead for the Desert Southwest.
