California's BART Celebrates Milestones as Ridership Reaches Highest Number Since 2020

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is marking several significant milestones this week as ridership continues to climb. On Tuesday, BART recorded 195,296 riders, the highest single-day total since the pandemic began.

This weekend, BART will celebrate with a special fashion event on Saturday at the Rockridge Station parking lot. Students from across the Bay Area have transformed old BART paper tickets into high-fashion designs, which will be showcased at 1 p.m.

On Monday, BART will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Transbay Tube, which has connected the East Bay and San Francisco since 1974. To celebrate, BART has launched an online trivia contest, running through Thursday, September 12.
