The National Weather Service (NWS) in San Francisco has issued a forecast predicting cooler-than-normal temperatures for the Bay Area over the next several days, with rain and gusty winds expected to arrive by late Sunday or early Monday.

As of Friday, patchy stratus clouds remain along the coast, particularly between Point Reyes and Pigeon Point, as well as around Monterey Bay. Temperatures across the region are cooler than usual, with highs in the 70s near the coast and mid-80s to low 90s inland. These comfortable conditions are set to continue throughout the weekend.

A more significant weather change is expected Sunday into Monday, when a deepening upper-level trough is forecast to bring increased rain chances and gusty winds to the region. This system could also bring additional wet weather midweek, with cooler temperatures persisting through the forecast period.
